Ideas escape from brain of pensive african man

“…but you are a chosen generation, a royal priest hood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy…” 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NKJV)

Society today is full of competition and activities that have the ability to make you feel inferior. But you see, as a child of the Almighty God, you must learn to see yourself the way God sees you not as society sees you. It is true you might not have all it takes to meet up with the competition out there but that doesn’t make you less qualified for the things that pertain to life. You might even have friends or family members who look down on you and make you believe that you are failing, but you must learn to look beyond their opinions and embrace God’s Word concerning you. God’s perspective revealed in His Word is what really matters.

Beloved, you’ve got to understand that you are a new creation with a superior life at work in you. The abilities of God are at work in you because you have His Spirit dwelling on the inside of you. Therefore, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Therefore, refuse to think less of yourself and see yourself the way God sees you. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “…you did you not chose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my name He may give you…” John 15:16 (NKJV). You have been set apart and now you have God’s attention. Anything you ask the Father in the Name of Jesus He is willing to do because you have special access to the Father through your union with Christ. So change the way you see yourself and see with the eyes of God. Embrace God’s opinion about you not the opinion of men and you will have peace and be joyful at all times. God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

God’s opinion and perspective revealed in His Word concerning you is what really matters.

Confession for the Day

Thank you Heavenly Father for using your Word to change my outlook about myself. Henceforth, I refuse to consider the opinions of men but yours alone. Because in your opinion lies the truth about me. I refuse to look down or think less of myself because I am special to God. I am wonderfully and fearfully made in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
