…I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed…” Psalms 77:3 (NKJV)

One of the things many people have learnt to do more than anything else today is to complain. They complain about everything and they never see anything good. They focus always on the negative than on the positive and they tend to let everybody know how they feel, thinking that when they complain, they will feel better. But the question is, does it really make them feel better? The answer is a big NO.

Beloved, as you journey in your walk with God, it is important to understand that complaining does not change anything rather it overwhelms your spirit and puts it down. The Psalmist said, “…I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed…” Psalms 77:3 (NKJV). You know why? Because complaining puts your spirit down and demotivates you. No matter how you try, you will not have the zeal to do anything meaningful. Even when you try to attain new heights, or achieve new goals, your spirit will not be willing because you have talked it down with complaints. However, to avoid such a situation, it is best you put a stop to complaining and start giving thanks. It’s a decision that you have to make if you truly want to move forward and make real progress. It is true that the circumstances surrounding you right now may not be favorable but the greater truth is that, if you do not give in to the temptation of complaining but choose to confront that situation in prayers, you will surely triumph over that situation.

So, I encourage you today to say no to complaining.  The Bible says “…do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,…“Philippians 2:14‭-‬15 ( NKJV). Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

When you are faced with difficult challenges, avoid complaining because it will overwhelm your Spirit!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and everliving Father, I thank you for this wonderful message you have brought to me today. I choose this day to be thankful and not complain. I choose to be cheerful and not sad. I choose to channel my energy to the positive things happening around me and as I do that, I am triumphing over every difficult circumstance in the name of Jesus. Amen!
