“…Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established….”
—Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV)

One common mistake among God’s people is the tendency to pursue their dreams without seeking the Lord’s guidance or committing their plans to Him. When faced with disappointments, they often blame God for not intervening but overlook the fact that they never invited Him into their plans from the start.

Beloved, one of the most unwise decisions you can make is to chase after dreams without committing them into the hands of the Lord. When you fail to do this, your efforts lack spiritual protection and backing. This leaves your plans vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks, which can easily derail your progress. However, if you desire a different outcome this year, make it a priority to commit every endeavor to the Lord.

The scripture says, “Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established” (Proverbs 16:3, NKJV). The Good News Translation puts it beautifully: “Ask the Lord to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out” (Proverbs 16:3, GNT). As simple as it sounds, this holds the key to unlocking success in all you set out to accomplish.

Whether it’s a business you’re planning to start, a course you wish to register for, or an upcoming job interview, commit it to the Lord. Ask for His blessings, and you will be amazed at how He will intervene on your behalf. However, as you commit your plans to Him, remain attentive and willing to follow the instructions He gives you to ensure the success of your endeavors. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for opening my eyes to this truth. Today, I choose to commit every plan to You, and as I do, I receive grace to succeed and excel in all that I undertake, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
