“….come to Me, all you who labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light…” —Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)

Today, you find that too many of God’s people are plagued with the same thing that Jesus Christ came to die for. Many still worry a lot and stay sad for most of the days and yet Jesus Christ said “….come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light…” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV). Beloved, my question for you today is, whose yoke are you carrying? The yoke of Jesus Christ or the yoke that the devil brought to you? Whenever you find yourself sad, depressed and worried over too many things, it is very obvious you are carrying the yoke of the devil because that is what the yoke of the devil produces, it does a man no good. It is a very heavy yoke that comes to weigh you down and make you give up.

However, the yoke of our Lord Jesus Christ is light, and He said it Himself. He said, Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me… For my yoke is easy and My burden is light…” Matthew 11:29-30 (NKJV). Did you see that? This lets us know that whenever we are burdened, we are not carrying the yoke of Jesus Christ but the yoke of the devil. So again, I ask you, which yoke are you carrying? The status of your mind of late will let you know the answer to this question. If you have been worried, sad and depressed, my advice to you is to take the master’s words very seriously. Lean on Him and learn from Him. Let Him take the lead, not you. Commit that burden to Him and leave it there. Only Jesus Christ knows how to perfect things in our lives. Stop taking the role of Jesus Christ and allow Him to have His way in your life. It is not enough to receive Jesus into your life, you must also roll your care to Him in prayers and leave it there at His feet, that is faith. For He who has called you, is faithful and just to see you through. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you can actually roll that burden unto the Lord, there will be less depression, emotional pains and consistent worry!

Confession for the Day

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for reminding me about the solemn call of your son Jesus Christ. I declare that, henceforth, I refuse to carry the yoke of the devil but the yoke of the master. Because the yoke of the master is light and does not weigh on me but propels me and catapults me to greater heights in Jesus name. Amen!
