“…Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, And burn so that no one can quench it, Because of the evil of your doings…” Jeremiah 4:4 (NKJV)

As a believer, one of the things you must know about your walk with God is that it is a relationship; and because it is a relationship, you are supposed to circumcise (dedicate, devote) yourself to the Lord. But sadly, that is not the case today. Too many of God’s people don’t see any need to be dedicated to the Lord, in fact many don’t know that they are supposed to dedicate themselves to the Lord.

Beloved, if you truly want to have a glorious and fruitful walk with God, you must understand that you are in a relationship with God and this relationship ought to be cultivated. It’s a deliberate act that you must engage in. And to do this, you have to give your time, energy and resources to the demands of the relationship. It’s not a one-off thing, it is a lifelong relationship. When you dedicate yourself to the Lord like this, you are the one to enjoy the manifold blessings.

So, do not be like the Israelites who refused to dedicate themselves to the Lord. As a matter of fact, God was so angry at their conduct that He said to them “…circumcise yourselves to the Lord, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, And burn so that no one can quench it, Because of the evil of your doings…” Jeremiah 4:4 (NKJV). Did you see that? Now, this is not to threaten you but remind you that God truly wants a relationship with you. That is all He is asking for and this isn’t too much to ask from you. So, I urge you today to think about this and make a conscious decision to dedicate yourself to the Lord, His word and His services.

Today’s Rhema

If you truly want to have a fruitful walk with God, you must consider dedicating yourself to the Lord!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and ever living Father, I thank you for the privilege of being in a relationship with you. I will not take this for granted. I choose this day to be wholly given to you, your word and your work and as I do this, I am positioned to victory and a glorious life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
