“….The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach…”Acts 1:1 (NKJV)

As a believer its important for you to understand that Christianity is not a title but a life that needs to be lived. Unfortunately, too many of God’s people do not see it that way today. They see it as a title and because of that they do not take corresponding actions. They just fold their hands and do nothing about their Christian life. They engage in every other thing except the things of God. In most cases, when you try to get them involved in the activities that concern God, they act disinterested which shouldn’t be because they are supposed to know better.

However, the truth remains that Christianity is not a title, it is not static, it is not a non-living thing. It is a life that must be lived and to do that, you have to take responsibility and play your role. When our Lord Jesus Christ walked the face of this earth, the testimony the Bible had of Him, was the things He did and taught ( Acts 1:1). Today, the things He did and taught are now the foundation of our salvation. Infact, it was because of the things He did, he was given a name above every other name ( Philippians 2:8-9) and we were given eternal life (1 John 5:13) because of the salvation He brought to us through His finished work. Now, it is important to understand that, if you are going to enjoy this salvation and divine life our Lord Jesus Christ brought to us, then you must hear and do the word. In other words, you must engage the counsel of the scriptures and put the principles to work. The Bible says, “…..be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves….”James 1:22 (NKJV). So, I encourage you to practice your Christianity, fulfill your function and take your responsibility towards God seriously. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema
