“…..then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death….”Revelation 12:10-11 (NKJV)
As far as the Christian journey is concerned, it’s important for you to understand that we have an enemy and according to our opening text, the Bible called him the accuser of the brethren. And what He does before our God day and night is to accuse us and give God reasons why we are not qualified to walk in the fullness of the blessings of God. He uses our weaknesses and mistakes as legal grounds to accuse us. But you see, while he tries to use our mistakes and weaknesses as a strong point to accuse us, it is important for you to understand that we have an advocate who is the person of Jesus Christ (1 John 2:1). He is our legal ground and His finished work for you should be your stronghold and defense.
Now, you might say, is that important? Well, yes, it is because from time to time the devil would want to remind you of your faults and weaknesses. When you are trying to pray, he would want to let you know that you don’t qualify to pray or ask God for anything. And in most cases, this could get to you and weaken your faith. However, you shouldn’t allow such. It is true that you may have weaknesses and faults but that is where you remember that Jesus Christ is your legal grounds. The devil may be correct, but the greater truth is that Jesus Christ is your legal grounds. He qualified you to approach God at any time through the ultimate price He paid for you on the cross. So, as you journey in your Christian walk, do not allow the devil to minister lies to you. Always remember that Jesus paid the price for you. The Bible says “…He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him…”II Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV). Now, because He paid the ultimate price for you, it becomes your strong and legal grounds. And you can approach God’s throne of grace without fear, guilt or shame (Hebrews 4:12). However, you must also make a conscious effort to walk after spirit, so that you do not fulfill the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
Glorious and ever living Father, I am grateful for educating on the truth I need to know regarding the ultimate price of Jesus. I choose this day to lean on His finished work and not my strengths or weaknesses. I choose to stand on His finished work and make it my legal grounds in Jesus’ Name
