“…and do not forbid to speak with tongues…” 1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)

In the first part of this article, we took out time to establish the importance of speaking in tongues. So today, we are going to be looking at a few things in details. Beloved, to better understand this topic, you must understand that tongues are a supernatural language that God has made available to us by His Spirit. It was given to us to be able to communicate with Him and operate at higher levels of faith and that is why Jude a bondservant of Jesus Christ, admonished the church saying “….you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit…”Jude 1:20 (NKJV). Did you see that? So, when you speak or pray in tongues, you are operating at a higher frequency of faith and you can be sure that when you are done, you have fixed a lot of things in your life spiritually.

Now, it is important to note that when you speak or pray in tongues, you are not insulting yourself but edifying yourself. The Bible says, “…he who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself…” 1 Corinthians 14:4 (NKJV). The amplified version says “…He who speaks in a (strange) tongue edifies and improves himself…” meaning it is not an insult to yourself but a blessing. And when you speak in this language, you don’t have to understand it. What matters most is that God understand and that is the most important. The Bible already says “…he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however in the spirit he speaks mysteries…”1 Corinthians 14:2(NKJV). See! So all you need to do is allow yourself flow in this language as the Spirit of God gives you utterance. If you really want to understand what you are saying, inquire from God and He will grant you an interpretation but do not wait until you get interpretation before you will speak in tongues comfortably. So I say to you, do not forbid to speak in tongues. Go ahead and flow with the Holy Ghost, even as you read this article, you feel some words bubbling out of you, do not hold back but flow in those words and watch God do amazing things in your life. Praise God!
