“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 2:20–21 (NKJV)
Do you know that, as a child of God, He wants you to be a vessel unto honor? One of God’s major expectations for your life is not just that you become a Christian, but that you become a Christian who is a vessel unto honor. Only then can you contribute meaningfully to His end-time plan for mankind and truly live the life He has called you to live.
Sadly, that is not the case with many of God’s people today. Some don’t even know what it means to be a vessel unto honor. Others don’t think it’s necessary. They believe confessing Jesus Christ as Lord is enough. For them, that already comes with a lot—attending church, paying tithes, praying, and trying to live a consecrated life. But guess what? God wants more than that. He wants more than just Sunday attendance or ticking spiritual boxes.
God wants you to be a Christian with a difference—a Christian who is willing and ready to take up responsibility in His house. A Christian He can count on. A Christian He can entrust with the lives of men and the advancement of His kingdom. He wants you dependable and available for use. That’s why our opening scripture says, “…if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”
God is seeking people He can use to bring solutions to mankind and wipe away their tears. But for that to happen, you must be willing to cleanse yourself and prepare for His use. Being a vessel unto honor means putting aside everything that keeps you from doing God’s work. It means saying yes to His will and His ways—even when it’s uncomfortable.
You can do it if you truly want to be used by God. And believe me, that will mark the beginning of true success and progress in your life, because God is looking at your availability to position and elevate you in your walk with Him. Praise God!

Saying yes to God and being available are important keys to becoming a vessel unto honor!
Confession for the Day
Father, I thank You for setting me apart and placing in me the ability to become a vessel unto honor. I declare that from today, I make myself available to be used by You at any time. As I do, I am positioned for greater exploits in my Christian walk, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
