“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” — 2 Timothy 2:19-21 (NKJV)
As a child of God, do you realize that God wants you to be a vessel unto honor? One of His key desires is not just for you to be a Christian, but for you to be a Christian who is a vessel set apart for honor. This is crucial because it’s only then that you can contribute to His end-time plan and live the life He’s called you to live.
Sadly, many believers today do not see the importance of being a vessel unto honor. Some don’t even understand what it means. Many are satisfied just with their initial confession of Jesus as Lord. They feel that attending church, paying tithes, praying, and living a consecrated life is enough. But guess what? God wants more!
He desires that you become a Christian with a difference—a Christian willing to take up responsibility in His house, someone He can count on for kingdom work. God wants you to be dependable, available, and ready to be used for His purposes. As the scripture says, “If anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” This means that God is searching for those willing to be purified and ready for His use.
To be a vessel unto honor, you need to set aside anything that keeps you from doing the work of God and say “yes” to His will and ways. When you do this, it marks the beginning of success and progress in your life because God will position and elevate you for greater exploits. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Father, I thank You for setting me apart and giving me the ability to become a vessel unto honor. I declare that from this day, I will be ready and available to be used by You, and as I do this, I am positioned for greater exploits in my Christian walk, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
