“…as a man thinks in His heart so is he…”—Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

In the first part of this article, we emphasized the need to channel your thoughts toward the right things and not the negative ones. Interestingly, this is one area in which many of God’s people have not been cautious. They focus so much on all the things that are not working and toss aside the things that God is doing in their lives. But the question is, is this how God wants us to live our lives? The answer is a big NO. Beloved, you must learn to acknowledge the things that God is doing in your life. You must learn to channel your thoughts toward the glorious things He has done and the beautiful things, He is about to do. Why? You might ask. Well, the reason is because God actually wants to see in you that you are grateful for the things He has done so far. God is a faithful God but the question is, do you recognize this? When you recognize this in your life, you cease to dwell on the wrong things.

One thing you must understand about thoughts is that they are powerful and full of potential. Every thought has creative ability; it can either propel you in the right direction or propel you in the wrong direction. All the beautiful things you see today, from the clothes we wear, the phones we use to the technology that is available to us today, are all products of human thoughts. They all started as a thought and today we are enjoying them. If you take a look at all the wealthiest people today, you will agree with me that what made them wealthy came from their thoughts. So instead of spending your thoughts on the wrong things and looking sad all day, like a man or woman who has been abandoned, why don’t you do yourself some good and channel your thoughts to things that can improve your life and status. Stop wasting your thoughts, and don’t be like the people of the world who have no hope. Christ in you is your hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Begin today to tap into the power of your mind and bring out the right thoughts. God bless you!

Confession for the Day

Dear heavenly father, I thank you for your grace and love towards me, I thank you for putting in me such powerful ability to be able to think. I declare that henceforth, my thoughts will be spent on the right things not on the wrong ones. I refuse to dwell on what the devil is doing but on the things, which you have done, and still doing because I know that when I do this, I will see greater things in the name of Jesus. Amen!
