Mann springt über Abgrund.

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NKJV)

I have studied the situations of great men in the Bible, and it has given me a certain conclusion, which is, “A man who identifies with God will have a lot of trouble because the devil won’t give him peace.” Abraham identified with God and he couldn’t have a child through his wife Sarah until he was hundred years old. That is a lot of years of pain and agony. Job identified with God, he was described as a righteous man, yet he lost all his children and wealth in one day. Joseph identified with God and he was sold into slavery at a tender age, and was in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. A look at these great men of God will let you know that your walk with God will come with challenges. Another thing I observed is, though all these men had challenges, they also had victories and great prosperity.

These and many more case studies in the Bible made me understand that you can’t have victories without first having challenges. Challenging situations are not things we run away from; they are what we are expected to confront in order to move to the next level that God has ordained in our path. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 15:33 (NIV). His words let us know that He had already forewarned us of the challenges that we would face in this world, but He also assured us that no matter what we face or go through, He has overcome the world for us. Meaning our victory is assured. So on the strength of this, you must understand that victory has already been given to you in whatever you are going through right now in your life. No matter the pressure, refuse to give in to it because you cannot be defeated. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

No matter the challenge you face in your life, victory is assured because you are in Christ Jesus!

Confession for the Day

Glorious God, I thank you for securing victory for me in Christ Jesus. I thank you for making me understand that this victory is always at my disposal. Therefore, I choose to focus on the victory you have given me and not on the severity of the challenges that I am going through. Praise God!
