“…that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man…” Ephesians 3:16 (NKJV)

One of the prayers Paul the Apostle offered on behalf of the brethren in the Ephesian church was that they should be strengthened with might in their inner man by the Spirit of God. He understood that when a man is strengthened with might in their inner man, they would manifest all that God has ordained for them in Christ Jesus. And all that the enemy tries to do to them will not succeed because the inner man is who is the recreated man, is strengthened with might through the Spirit of God.

Beloved, the inner man is the man whom God has invested His Spirit in. When this man is strengthened with might, you will be exposed to so many possibilities and the enemy knows this. So, what the enemy does is to consistently stop us from doing anything that will build the inner man. He will bring into our lives habits and routines that will constantly make us weak in our inner man. And because believers today are ignorant of this strategic attack of the devil against us, we fall prey to such attacks. But this is not God’s plan for our lives. God’s desire is that we be strengthened with might in our inner man.

When the inner man is strengthened with might, it attracts to you all that your heart desires and it repels all the attacks of the enemy against you. So, I encourage you to become mindful of this truth and give attention to your inner man, just the same way you give attention to your physical man. In the next article, we will be looking at how to build the inner man. Until, then says this out loud, “by the power of the Holy Ghost, I am strengthened with might in my inner man and nothing can stop me in Jesus name.”
