“As you, therefore, have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV)
What are you building your life on? Are you relying on the information and standards of the world? If so, it’s time to reconsider. As a believer, your life is meant to be built on Jesus and His teachings—not on the shifting foundations of worldly wisdom. Every decision, priority, and action in your life should align with the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Make a conscious choice to root your life in His teachings. The Bible reminds us: “As you, therefore, have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV). To walk in Him and be firmly rooted, you need to build on the foundation of His words.
Jesus Himself said: “Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV).
The choice is yours. Begin today by building on the teachings of Jesus, and you will see your life strengthened and elevated to greater heights.
