Beloved, if you truly want to experience growth, speed, and advancement in your life, you must bring order to it. Without order, growth and progress are impossible, because order is the foundation upon which these things are built. When you take a close look at our opening text, you’ll notice that Jesus wanted to feed the people—but before the miracle happened, He asked them to sit down in rows and groups of fifty and a hundred. Prior to that, the crowd was rowdy, but the moment He asked them to sit down, order was achieved. Then, the miracle of multiplication took place. This reveals that when order is established, mind-blowing miracles can follow.
As you grow in Christ, make a conscious decision to bring order to your life. Don’t live by chance and expect to grow or advance. If you want to experience lasting progress, you must be intentional about order. You might ask, “Where do I start?” It’s simple: begin by giving God His rightful place in your life, and the way to do that is to make room for Jesus to dwell in you. A life without Him is a life in chaos.
Secondly, build your life on the principles revealed in His Word. When those principles become your standard, you can never fail. Sadly, many believers neglect this. They ignore godly principles and try to cut corners, forgetting that God is a God of order and principle. If you truly desire to bring order to your life, you must give attention to the teachings and principles revealed to us through Jesus. These truths touch every aspect of life, and when you live by them, success and stability will follow.
Jesus said, “Anyone who hears these words of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain poured down, the rivers flooded over, and the wind blew hard against that house. But it did not fall, because it was built on rock. But anyone who hears these words of mine and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain poured down, the rivers flooded over, the wind blew hard against that house, and it fell. And what a terrible fall that was!” —Matthew 7:24–27 (GNT)
Did you see that? Make a conscious decision today to bring order to your life by taking these two major steps—giving Jesus His rightful place and building on His Word. When you do, everything else will fall into place because the right foundation has been laid. Hallelujah!
