“Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.” — 2 Corinthians 9:11 (NLT)

Have you ever wondered why God blesses people? Do you know the purpose of the blessing? These may seem like simple questions, but the answers are critical. Without understanding the reason God blesses us, we risk mismanaging the very resources He wants us to steward.

Over the years, I’ve come across many who passionately pray for God’s blessings—but often, the motivation is rooted in personal needs alone. They want the blessing only for themselves. And because God sees their heart, the blessing doesn’t manifest the way they expect. Why? Because God knows that if He blesses them, they won’t use it to bless anyone else. So He waits—until they grow into a place of maturity and financial stewardship.

Child of God, if you truly want to see God’s blessings made manifest in your life, you must consciously decide to be a channel of blessing. That means being willing to share what God gives you. The reason God blesses His people isn’t merely for personal comfort, but so that through them, others can be sustained and uplifted.

God desires to use you as a vessel to reach those who are still growing in their faith or haven’t yet stepped into the grace you walk in. This is why our opening verse says, “You will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous…” (2 Corinthians 9:11). Generosity is part of the purpose for which you are blessed.

So, I encourage you today—adopt the right mindset. Desire to be a blessing to others, and you will see God’s provision manifest in ways you never imagined. The more you become a channel, the more God can trust you with abundance.

Today’s Rhema

God’s blessings in your life are not just to bring you comfort, but to bring comfort to others as well!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this impactful teaching. I choose this day to adopt the right mindset toward your blessings in my life. I receive grace to be a faithful steward of your provision, and I declare that I am a channel of blessing to others. Through me, lives are touched, needs are met, and your name is glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
