“….And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak…” II Corinthians 4:13 (NKJV)
If I were to ask if you believed the scriptures, your answer would most likely be “yes”. But if you truly believed the scriptures, why don’t you live and act like it? Think about it. If you truly believe that, “….God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind….” II Timothy 1:7 (NKJV), why do you still live in fear? In light of the scripture that says, “….If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes….” Mark 9:23 (NKJV), why do you still doubt? Why do you still have so much unbelief when it comes to God’s promises for your life?
Well, the goal of these questions is not to make you upset but to make you sit back and ponder on where you really stand when it comes to the scriptures. Oftentimes, as believers, we say that we believe the scriptures but in our actions and in our words we do the opposite and in the end we find ourselves halting between two opinions, which is not God’s will for our lives.
Beloved, if you truly want to walk in the manifestation of the promises of God for your life, you must make a conscious decision to act out what the scriptures say about you. It is your actions that truly define what you believe. So, as you journey in your Christian walk, make it a point of duty to believe what the scripture says and let your actions and your words align with what you believe in your heart. If you can do this, you will activate an unimaginable season of growth in your life. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
Glorious and everliving Father, I thank you for reminding me of the need to believe in the scriptures and act like it. Therefore I choose this day to not only believe the scriptures, but my actions and my words will reflect my beliefs in the name of Jesus. Amen!
