“…Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?” — John 11:40 (NKJV)
Having established the importance of believing in God’s power in times of difficulties, someone might ask, “But sir, in times of trouble, it’s sometimes hard to believe because of the pressure and fear that creeps in. What do you do in such a situation?” That’s a fair question. The truth is, this is exactly where the devil wants you—trapped in fear and convinced there’s no hope. He wants you to believe nothing can be done about your situation. But your responsibility is to reject these lies.
Refuse to let fear dictate your response. Resist the urge to jump to negative conclusions. Instead, look beyond the intensity of the enemy’s attacks and choose to see from God’s perspective. See what’s possible and believe you are coming out victoriously. If you can muster the courage to do this, that’s exactly what will happen.
Consider the Shunammite woman whose son died after a headache. She didn’t panic or lose control. She didn’t accept defeat or give in to despair. Instead, she laid her son on the bed of the prophet Elisha and went looking for the man of God. When her husband inquired about what was going on, she simply said, “It is well.” She believed God would restore her son’s life, and that’s precisely what happened. (See 2 Kings 4:8–37.)
What about you? In your situation, will you give in to fear, or will you rise in faith and believe God for a turnaround? I encourage you to trust in God’s power for a turnaround. Things change when we dare to believe. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
I refuse to give in or give up. I will not believe the lie that my situation is beyond repair. I declare that a solution is certain for me in every circumstance. I maintain my composure, stand in faith, and believe God for a drastic turnaround in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
