“Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2-4 (NKJV)
As children, we often believe everything we’re told. I remember believing in many stories as a child, stories that I later realized weren’t true. For example, I used to believe that Santa Claus was real, and that if I wrote him a letter with my wishes, he would make them come true. It wasn’t until I grew older that I discovered he wasn’t real and didn’t grant wishes. But as a child, I accepted these stories without question, simply because that’s what I was told.
Children believe everything you tell them without questioning whether it is really true. If you tell a child that Jesus is God, he will believe. If you tell a child Jesus will save you anytime you are in trouble, he will believe. Even if you tell a child that Jesus will be with you everywhere you go, the child will believe without doubting you. This attitude is what God is asking from all of us. To believe like children do and not question everything about God, His ability, His works and His existence.
God wants us to believe in His miracle working ability and about His ability to do the impossible. God wants you to believe because it’s your faith in Him and in what He can do for you that gives you the victory over satanic plotting and agendas in your life. You are God’s child and He has given you His word in the bible, if you can hold on to every word of promise as contained in the word of God, having no doubt but increasing from faith to faith, you will begin to experience the miracle working power of God in your life. Praise God!
