“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” —Romans 8:11 (NKJV)

One of the beautiful things about our life in Christ is that sickness and diseases are not allowed to ravage our bodies and destroy them. None of those afflictions of the devil are permitted to destroy our bodies because we have a life that destroys sickness and disease, and that life is the life of God. You might say, if that were the case, why do Christians still fall sick and die? Well, the reason is because there are many Christians who are ignorant of this truth. So the devil takes advantage of their ignorance and afflicts their bodies with illnesses, in the hope that he might destroy them.

However, the truth is that, though they are afflicted, it doesn’t mean the devil has won or has the upper hand. It is just an affliction that can be changed if they know who they are in Christ Jesus. There is no affliction on our body that cannot be changed or turned around if you stand your ground and apply the infallible word of God. The Bible said to us in our opening scripture, “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11 (NKJV) meaning that God has programmed in you the vitality of the Spirit. He has made it possible for you to stay healthy all the time through the vitality of His Spirit. Your responsibility is to believe this truth, live in its consciousness, and make it your present-day reality. Remember, God has done His part by giving you His spirit, it is now your responsibility to make it a reality in your life. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

God has programmed in you the vitality of the Spirit, believe it and make it your present-hour reality!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have brought to me today, and I am most grateful for the vitality of your Spirit that you have programmed in me. Therefore, I believe in this work that has been done in me, and I declare that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in me and vitalizing my mortal body in the name of Jesus. Amen!
