“…And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force…”Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)
Over time, I have carefully watched the way some believers pray during prayers in church, and I noticed that many just love to pray in a very calm way. In most cases, their mouth hardly moves in times of prayer and when you ask them if they prayed, they would generally say, they did. But in the real sense, they didn’t really pray. All they did was think their prayers. While this is not such a bad thing, it will not get some key issues resolved in your life.
You have got to understand that the prayers that bring you the kind of result you are looking for are not the ones you think in your heart but the ones that are fervent and violent in nature. The Bible says, “…for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation….” Romans 10:10 (NKJV). This lets us understand that what brings salvation to your life are the words you say out of your mouth not the words you think in your heart. Therefore, it is important that you pay attention to this area of your life.
The next time you want to pray, let the words flow out of your mouth in a fervent way. The Bible says, “…the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much….”James 5:16 (NKJV). Think about it. So, get to work and get fervent in your prayers, especially when you are having to deal with issues that need some urgent fire power. Your fervency in prayer, goes a long way to impact you and your situations in an unimaginable way. Don’t miss out on this exclusive blessing that you can get in the place of prayer. Now, this does not mean you should be very loud when you are praying. You can be fervent and not loud, the main thing here is to be able to boldly get those words out of your mouth without having to disturb anyone. Hallelujah!
