“…now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in Church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues…” 1 Corinthians 12:27-28 (NKJV)

As a member of the body of Christ, do you know that God expects you to have a sense of responsibility? Do you know that God expects you to be useful and active in the body and not just be passive? Well, in case you do not know, I am telling you now.  As a member of the body of Christ, God does not want you to be idle in His house. He wants you to fulfill your own part in the body and become a blessing to the other parts of the body of Christ. He has deposited in you specific gifts and callings that you can use to benefit others. These gifts were deliberately given to you to bless the other parts of the body and also to advance the course of the Kingdom. It is the reason why you have to consider taking up a responsibility in the body of Christ.

Don’t be among those who are sitting down and watching others serve. Don’t just be comfortable with being served all the time. You have been doing that for many years now and it hasn’t done so much for you, so why continue in that path. Beloved, it is time for you to serve so that the work of God can move faster and impact more people out there. Until you take responsibility and fulfil your part, the equation is not balanced. The Bible says “…if the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything…” 1 Corinthians 12:17. This lets us know that every part of the body has a function to fulfill and if you are not fulfilling yours, you are cheating the entire body. Therefore, be encouraged today to take that bold step and join a department in the house of the Lord. Make up your mind to render your services to God from henceforth and you will be amazed how fulfilled you will be in life. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

When you choose to render your services to God, it will not only bless men, it will bring you a kind of fulfillment that you can’t find elsewhere!

Confession for the Day

I decree today by the power of the Holy Spirit, that the grace to render my services to God is at work in me. The grace to attend to my calling in the body of Christ is at work in me and as I get involved in the work, I am moving from glory to glory and excelling in every area of my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
