“…In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]…” Ephesians 6:10 (AMPC)

As simple as our opening title might sound, it is important that you give it a lot of attention. It says be strong in the Lord. Now, why do you need to be strong in the Lord? Well, it is because we are living in times where there are a lot of situations and circumstances designed to break you. They are designed to bring fear into your heart and make you feel there is no hope for you. So instead of giving in to such deception, it is better to hold on to the words of Jesus Christ and be strong in Him.

You might say but how do I do this? Well, it is simple! The Amplified Bible version says in our opening text “…be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]…“Ephesians 6:10 (AMPC). Did you see that? There are two key things we are expected to do to be strong in Him. First, God wants us to be conscious of our union with Jesus because this union is an empowerment itself. When you are conscious of your union with Him, you can’t be tempted to give in or give up because you know that through your union with Jesus Christ, you are already empowered to win no matter the odds or situation that you may face.

Secondly, to be strong in the Lord, you ought to draw strength from Him. In other words, our Lord Jesus Christ ought to be the source of your strength. The mistake people make today is that they allow glad tidings to be the source of their strength. Meaning when things are going good, they are strengthened, but when things go bad, they become weak. This is not how it ought to be. Your source of strength ought to be our Lord Jesus Christ. So, I encourage you today to be empowered by your union with Jesus and be strengthened by Him. Refuse to be moved by what you face or go through. Let Jesus be your strength and you will surely establish your victory. Praise God!

Refuse to be moved by what you face or go through, let Jesus be your strength!

Confession for the Day

No matter what I face or go through in my life, I refuse to be tempted to break down. I choose to be empowered by my union with Christ Jesus and be strengthened by Him. I decree that as I do this, I am manifesting strength in the name of Jesus. Amen!
