Never let go of loyalty and faithfulness. Tie them around your neck; write them on your heart. If you do this, both God and people will be pleased with you.
—Proverbs 3:3–4 (GNT)

Do you want to achieve a lot this year? Do you desire to experience unusual favour from both God and people? If your answer is yes, then faithfulness must become a deliberate pursuit in your life. Faithfulness—the ability to remain steadfast to commitments, relationships, principles, and responsibilities—is a virtue that can elevate you to great heights and position you among men of honour.

Sadly, faithfulness is no longer celebrated in today’s world. We live in a time when people easily walk away from commitments, and loyalty is often treated as optional. As a result, many assume that faithfulness no longer matters. But the Scriptures say otherwise. God’s Word instructs us clearly: “Never let go of loyalty and faithfulness… If you do this, both God and people will be pleased with you.” This tells us that faithfulness is not only valuable to God, but also attractive to people.

God desires that you be faithful in every area of your life. He wants faithfulness in your walk with Him, in your relationships with others, and in the way you conduct your affairs. Why? Because faithfulness is a key requirement for lifting and sustained success. Without it, progress may come, but it will not last.

Therefore, make a conscious decision to walk in faithfulness this year and beyond. Be faithful in your service to God and to people. Be faithful in your financial dealings, in your marriage or preparations for marriage, and in every responsibility entrusted to you. If you embrace this virtue wholeheartedly, the promise of Scripture stands sure—both God and people will be pleased with you. Praise God.
