In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. —Daniel 10:2–3 (NKJV)
Someone might say, “I have been praying for many days, but nothing seems to change. Should I continue?” The answer is yes. If you are in a situation that requires God’s intervention, you do not stop praying until you receive it. That is what it means to be determined. Stopping without seeing results is not the kind of attitude God wants us to have.
God wants us to be like Elijah the prophet, who prayed until he got what he was seeking. At first, nothing changed. But he didn’t stop; instead, he kept asking his servant to check the sky. He did this seven times, and on the seventh time the servant came back and said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’” —1 Kings 18:44 (NKJV). Did you see that? He only stopped when he saw the signs of his prayer being answered.
So never stop praying. Continue until you win, no matter how long it takes. It is persistent, heartfelt, continuous prayer that gets the job done. Maybe you prayed about certain matters in the past and nothing happened, so you gave up. Well, I encourage you to pray again—this time with determination. Tell yourself, “I will not come out of this without a tangible result.” If you make firm decisions like this, you will surely win in life’s endeavors.
Those who win in life are those with laser-like determination. When there is no determination, there can be no emancipation. So take a moment to review your prayer life today. Identify the areas that need attention and get back to prayer, knowing this time things will be different. When you begin to pray with determination, the results may not come immediately, but don’t let that discourage you. If you continue, you will surely see the reward of the Lord. God bless you!

Confession for the Day
Thank You, heavenly Father, for making it possible to receive answers through prayer. I declare that I will continue to hold on in prayer until I see my change because I know You are the God who answers prayer and You delight in blessing Your children. Therefore, nothing can stop me. I resist every resistance and prevail over every stubborn problem in the name of Jesus. Amen!
