“…..Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore..”– I Chronicles 16:10-11 (NKJV)
Again, as you journey with the Lord this year, one thing you must do is to be deliberate in your walk with God. Now, when I talk about being deliberate, I am talking about doing the things of God on purpose so that you can have a glorious and fruitful walk with the father. For example, things like attending church services, until and unless you are deliberate about it you may not go to church.
Even when it comes to praying, fasting and rendering your service to the Lord, you may not do it unless you are deliberate. Why you might ask? Well, because as long as you are not deliberate about God, there are several other things out there to take your attention away and they will be genuine reasons. Sometimes, it could be your work or business and when you are not deliberate, you will always find that you are tired or your schedule is just too choked up to be able to do anything else. But when you are deliberate, even when you are tired from the day’s outing, you will squeeze out time to pray or bring a balance to your walk with God.
So, as you go about your walk with God this year, I encourage you to become deliberate about your Christian walk and responsibilities. Be like Paul who said, “…therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified….” 1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (NKJV). He understood that he could be carried away, so he had to become deliberate. You too can do the same! Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
When you are deliberate in your walk with God, you will do everything to please God!
Confession for the Day
Father, I thank you for your glory and glory, I thank you for inspiring me with your words today. I choose to be deliberate in my Christian walk and against all odds, I will stay a dedicated and committed Christian in Jesus name. Amen!
