Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — (Hebrews 4:16 NKJV)
Child of God, have you noticed that the Scriptures call us to “come boldly” before God—to receive mercy and grace when we need it most? That call to boldness matters because too often we dwell on our failures instead of on the finished work of Christ that sets us free from guilt.
Many believers spend more time rehearsing past mistakes than resting in God’s mercy. They hesitate to approach Him with confidence, wrongly assuming their faults disqualify them from asking anything of Him. But that’s a lie from the enemy. In fact, God invites us to stand before Him just as we are, clothed in Christ’s righteousness.
Remember, before you ever knew Him, God knew and chose you. He sent Jesus to pay your debt so you could come before the Father without shame. As Romans explains:
For those He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son… Moreover, those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; and those He justified, He also glorified. — (Romans 8:29–30 NKJV)
When you grasp that you are fully justified and glorified in Christ, you’ll stand before God with boldness—confident that His grace covers every need. Don’t hide like Adam, afraid of God’s voice. Instead, rest in Jesus’ finished work and draw near with the confidence of a beloved child.
