The Lord said to me, “No matter how shepherds yell and shout, they can’t scare away a lion from an animal that it has killed; in the same way, there is nothing that can keep me, the Lord Almighty, from protecting Mount Zion.” —Isaiah 31:4 (GNT)
Having established in the first article that God’s protection is guaranteed, someone might ask why many believers still fall into traps and all manner of situations that put their lives in harm’s way. The answer is simple. The reason many believers face these kinds of difficulties is because of ignorance and walking in error.
First, ignorance of God’s Word is the primary reason many believers fall victim to the devices of the enemy. God has said that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Many of His children are unaware of the provisions He has made for them regarding protection. They do not know how or when to activate the spiritual security that is available to them in Christ. Because of this lack of understanding, many have unfortunately become victims of the evil plans of the Devil.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. —Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)
The second reason why many become victims is that they are walking in disobedience. Many today want to live their lives according to their own terms rather than God’s instructions. In that process, they break many spiritual laws and open doors that give Satan the advantage over their lives. When a person steps outside of God’s counsel, they lose the divine covering that was meant to keep them safe.
He who digs a pit will fall into it, and whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent. —Ecclesiastes 10:8 (NKJV)
Many have unknowingly dug a pit or broken the hedge. When this happens, a person may fall into the very trouble they created, and the serpent is granted access because the barrier of protection was compromised. These are the major reasons why many still suffer loss. However, to avoid this, you must educate yourself with the Word of God so that you know exactly what He requires of you.
Knowledge of the Word will help you avoid breaking the hedge. When your life remains within the confines of God’s will, the serpent will have no access to you. You are safe when you stay where He wants you to be. Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
As long as you equip yourself with God’s Word and do not break a hedge, the enemy will hardly have access to you!
Prayer
Thank You Father for educating me on the protocols that surround my protection. I receive grace today to stay in the path that You want me to stay, and I refuse to be found in the wrong path in Jesus’ name. Amen!
