No matter how shepherds yell and shout, they can’t scare away a lion from an animal that it has killed; in the same way, there is nothing that can keep me, the Lord Almighty, from protecting Mount Zion. —Isaiah 31:4 (GNT)

With all the happenings in the world, one of the things the Devil would like you to be more conscious of is insecurity. He wants you to think that you are not safe and that something evil can easily happen to you. If you are not cautious, you could give in to that lie and start living in fear.

While it is true that there is a lot of insecurity in the world right now, it does not apply to you who are in Christ. Although you are in this world, you are not of this world.

They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. —John 17:16 (GNT)

Where you are, which is in the Lord, is safe, and you must be conscious of the protection and security you have in Him. You must understand that Christ is not just a person but a place and a spiritual location. Those who are in Christ function from this location, and this location is a safe place. It is your responsibility to believe this and stay conscious of it. If you do not do this deliberately, you will begin to live in fear, and this is not God’s plan for your life.

Therefore, choose this day to become conscious of God’s protection in your life. In our opening text, the Prophet Isaiah revealed that just as a lion cannot be scared away by shepherds, there is nothing that can keep the Lord Almighty from protecting His own. Believe this truth, be confident about it, and know that in the Master, you are safe and secure.

Father, I thank You for the opportunity You gave to me to be in Christ. I thank You for the safety I have in Christ, and I declare that I will continue to abide in Him now and all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
