Bible and Sword: Digital Illustration of Spiritual Warfare and Faith, Harnessing Strength Inspiring Concept of Bible and Sword in Artwork

So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. —Psalm 90:12 (NKJV)

What significant thing has your life contributed to the kingdom of God or even to humanity? If you were to be with the Lord tomorrow, what would people remember you for? Will you even be remembered? Or will you be like those who just come and go, never to be remembered again?

We look at the lives of heroes in the Bible; we never saw their faces, yet we know their names. We are inspired by their accomplishments. We remember Moses and say, “He brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and led them through the Red Sea on dry ground.” We remember Joseph and say, “He was a slave boy who became a prime minister and saved Egypt from seven years of famine.” We talk about Elijah and say, “He called down fire from heaven and stopped the rain for three years.”

We love to talk about these great men who are remembered for their faith and their works, but what about you? How many lives have you touched that make you worth remembering? What impact have you made in your local church? Do not be like smoke from a fire, evaporating into the air to be seen no more. Don’t live a wasted life. Let your life count. Touch lives, change lives, and make a mark in your world.

As Christians, it is expected that our lives should count for something. There should be a reason you exist, a reason God continues to keep you here on earth. You can live to tell the untold story of Jesus, to open the eyes of the blind, and to set the captives free.

There are so many ways to do it. If you can’t preach, you can support the Gospel by contributing what you have. You can be part of an outreach program to the poor or find some other way to serve. The most important thing is to be an addition to the Kingdom. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Touch lives and change lives, make an imprint, and make a mark in your world or in your sphere of contact!

Confession for the Day

Father, I ask you to establish the work of my hands and help me make a mark in my lifetime. Direct my heart to what You want me to do and whom You want me to touch, so I will not be like smoke that disappears into thin air, never to be remembered again. Amen!
