A Man praying holding a Holy Bible.

“…Greetings from Epaphras, another member of your group and a servant of Christ Jesus. He always prays fervently for you, asking God to make you stand firm, as mature and fully convinced Christians, in complete obedience to God’s will…” — Colossians 4:12 (GNT)

After you have received the Lord Jesus Christ into your life, one of the things you must strive to become is a fully convinced Christian. In other words, you must fight to be a believer who is absolutely confident in the message of the Gospel and its promises.

In our opening text, Paul the Apostle makes a striking statement worth noting. He says, “…Greetings from Epaphras, another member of your group and a servant of Christ Jesus. He always prays fervently for you, asking God to make you stand firm, as mature and fully convinced Christians, in complete obedience to God’s will…” (Colossians 4:12, GNT). Did you catch that? Epaphras was praying fervently for the brethren in Colossae to become fully convinced Christians. Why? Because he knew this was the key to enjoying all the promises of God.

Beloved, if you are going to be established in the faith and experience the fullness of God’s promises, you must decide to become fully convinced about the Gospel. The practice of fluctuating between faith and doubt is not acceptable. If you are unstable in this way, the promises of God will remain out of reach, and you may find yourself grumbling rather than thriving as a confident Christian. Therefore, make it your priority to be fully convinced about the Gospel and all its provisions. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Whatever you do, choose to be a Christian who is fully convinced of the Gospel!

Confession for the Day

Today, I have received the word of truth. I choose, therefore, to be fully convinced of the Gospel. As I do this, every seed of doubt that the enemy brings my way is uprooted in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
