“….I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will….” Acts 13:22 (NKJV)
We live in a world where love towards God grows colder by the day. People are no longer concerned about what God wants or how God feels? All they are concerned about is all they want and what they feel. The counsel and statutes of God are no longer the standards people want to live by anymore, they only want to live according to their opinions and fleshly desires. No wonder the Bible says, “…in the last days, perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…”2 Timothy 3:1-4 (NKJV)
However, this isn’t a scripture that should be fulfilled by a Christian. It was written so that we will know what the world will be like when it is getting close to the end. It was written to warn us so that when the time comes, we will still be able to set our heart and affections on God and try to go after the things that God desires and is interested in. So beloved, I ask you, in all your pursuit in life, are you still after God’s heart? Or your love for God has grown cold? For some people, the answer might be yes, while for some others, the answer might be somewhat, but whatever your answer maybe, I would like you to review this question very well and understand the importance of it because it will help you to refocus and set your priorities right. It will help you to channel your strength in the right direction and walk in the path that God wants you to walk in. So, make a conscious decision today to brood be a believer whose heart is truly after God’s heart. Praise God!
