Ask God for Direction

“…in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths….”
Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV)

Our opening scripture reveals a profound truth: if we acknowledge God in all our ways, He will give us direction. This serves as a reminder that God is still in the business of providing guidance. The question is, which area of your life do you seek direction? Is it your career, relationships, health, or finances? Whatever it is, you must remember that God is willing and able to guide you, but you need to ask Him for it and remain persistent until you receive His response.

Many people miss out on God’s guidance because they fail to ask for it. They assume God will intervene without being invited into their situation. While God sometimes provides unsolicited guidance for sovereign purposes—like in the case of Joseph and Mary—this is not His usual method. When Joseph learned Mary was pregnant, the angel of the Lord gave him specific instructions because it pertained to God’s divine plan:

“Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived. She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus—because he will save his people from their sins.”
Matthew 1:20-21 (GNT)

However, God didn’t give Joseph directions about his business or personal affairs. This illustrates that unless you seek God’s guidance for specific areas of your life—your business, relationships, health, or family—He may not speak. He waits for you to ask.

As you journey through this year, make it a habit to seek God’s direction in every aspect of your life. Be intentional, persistent, and diligent in your requests, and you will hear from Him. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

If you would ask God for direction diligently, He would give you one!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for opening my eyes to this powerful truth. From today, I choose to seek Your direction in every area of my life. As I ask diligently, I receive clear guidance and follow Your path, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
