But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak. (Isaiah 40:31 GNT)

The question in this article’s title might sound strange, but have you ever really thought about it? Are you truly waiting on God or are you rushing Him? Most of the time, we think we’re waiting on God, but we’re actually rushing Him. We aren’t patient enough to follow the process He has put in place for us. And so we start asking questions like, “Oh God, when? Oh God, why? Oh God, how?”

All these questions prove that we’re not waiting on God, but rushing Him. They show that we’ve moved out of the place of waiting and have entered a place where we want to rush the process. But trust me, when we rush the process, we could abort God’s purposes for our lives.

Therefore, it’s important that you make a conscious decision to wait on the Lord and not rush Him. I know you may think that time is running out and you’re not getting any younger, but the truth remains that all those age-related fears don’t matter. It is what God has written in His calendar for you that must take place. If you rush into marriage or into business when it’s not yet time, according to God’s calendar, that marriage or business will surely crash because you don’t have the grace for it yet.

Understand this: the importance of waiting on God and allowing His timing to play out is that His timing makes grace available for you. So, you must never forget this. Whatever you want to get into—whether it’s marriage, business, or something as simple as traveling—you must wait for God’s timing. If you rush it, you might still achieve it, but without grace. And when you do things without grace, the frustration you will face can be out of this world. So, wait on the Lord. There is a time to be a caterpillar, and there is a time to be a butterfly. Both stages have their role to play in your life; don’t rush things or rush God. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

There is a time to be a caterpillar, and there is a time to be a butterfly. Both stages have their different roles to play in your life!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful message. I receive the grace to wait on you for your timing, and as I do this, the temptation to rush things will not prevail in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
