“….and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities – Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance…” Luke 8:2 (NKJV)

When we take a careful look at our opening text, we see a picture painted for us as an example of the kind of disciples we should be like as Christians. We see here certain women who had benefited from the ministry of Jesus Christ giving back to him and partnering with him of their substance. The message translation of the last part in the verse above says, the women used their considerable means to provide for Jesus and His disciples. At one point they had a spiritual need which Jesus took care of and in appreciation for what Jesus Christ had done, they decided to partner with him so that the work Jesus Christ was doing could spread well and spread fast. Now, this is an example every one of us should emulate as believers today. Because before we came to Christ, we all had several spiritual needs and since we encountered Christ, those needs have been met. Today we are swimming in His glory and blessings. The question is what are we going to do in appreciation for the salvation we have received through our Lord Jesus Christ? We ought to be a part of His work and use our substance (money, time, properties etc.) to propagate the Gospel.

Therefore, make a conscious decision to become one of Jesus’s covenant partners. As God continues to bless you, preserve you and prosper the works of your hands, it is your duty to use His blessings in your life for kingdom investment. When you do this, it shows that you are not only grateful for the salvation you have received, but you are interested in the work of the father. Today, you find that there are not many believers, who are truly interested in the work of the father. They are only interested in what will benefit them, but the question is, is that how God wants us to live our lives? The answer is a Big No. God sent His son to die for us and when the ultimate sacrifice was paid, He gave us the responsibility to make others know that their sins have been paid for and they can be put right with God. In 2 Corinthians 5:19, the Bible says, “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their tresspasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Did you see that? If God has committed this ministry to us, it is our responsibility to engage in it wholeheartedly both without strength and resources. So be among one of Jesus’s partners today and watch your life move from glory to glory.

Today’s Rhema

If you truly appreciate the salvation you have received, then you should partner with the Gospel and take it to someone else!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for sending your son to pay the price for me. I am grateful for the salvation I have received, I choose this day to become a covenant partner with this glorious Gospel and as I do this, my life is moving from glory to glory in Jesus name. Amen!
