decision, choice, path

“…you worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth…” John 4:22-24 (NKJV)

Many of God’s people today are wallowing in religion and this is why after so many years of following God and trying to please Him according to their senses and worldly perspective, they end up with no difference in their lives because all these years, they were involved in the shadow of the real thing and not the real itself. They had a form of godliness but not the power that goes with it (2 Timothy 3:5). So, you will hear them say things like, I have been a believer for many years now but when you take a look at their lives, you can’t really see the fruits of it. Why? Because what they had practiced all these years was religion. Beloved, I believe that the best thing that can ever happen to a man is to have a relationship with God the father.

God is not interested in us worshiping rules but Him. He wants you to know Him and know Him for yourself, He wants you to have a relationship with Him because when you do, you will not have to follow rules but Him which ultimately helps you to walk in the path that He wants you to walk in. So as you go about your daily activities today, I encourage you to come out of all forms of religion and face the real thing. Stop being slothful in your walk with God and take Him seriously knowing very well that you can never outsmart Him. He is and will always be smarter. Religion will give you nothing but disappointments and waste of time, but worshiping God in Spirit and in truth grants you life, peace and power. Therefore, choose to be a true worshiper not a religious person for the father is seeking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

To be religious is to follow a road map purposed to lead to God but never reaches God but true worshiping, is to locate God and know Him for yourself!

Confession for the Day

Father in the name of Jesus, I declare that henceforth, I put aside every form of religion and I choose to follow the real thing which is knowing God and having a relationship with Him. I choose to worship Him in Spirit and in truth and not according to my senses or the dictates of the world. I know that as I walk in this path, my life moves from glory to glory. Praise God!
