“…you worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth…” John 4:22-24 (NKJV)

In life, there are two categories of people: Religious people and true worshipers. The question is, which of these categories are you? Are you just religious? or are you a true worshiper? You might say, but what is the difference? Well, there is a huge difference because one is the real deal, while the other is just a shadow. One is full of activities that lead to nowhere, while the other leads you to God.

Beloved, being religious means holding on to the practices or the traditions of a certain religion, keeping all the festival days, and following the laws without question. It is a road map intended to lead to God, but never does. But to be a true worshiper is actually to know and have a relationship with the one true God. It is to know what He wants and to follow Him according to His Word and not our opinion. It is to worship God in spirit and in truth, following God not with the senses but by the Spirit and His Word. This is the kind of life God wants you to have. Therefore, you must make a conscious decision to not be a religious person but a true worshiper because this decision will turn your life around for the better and it will make your walk with God even more rewarding.

The reason many people get disappointed is because they have been following religion and not God. However, your case can be different if you choose to become a true worshiper. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Religion will bring you disappointments, but true worship will bring you fulfillment!

Confession for the Day

Oh Lord, I am grateful for this wonderful counsel you have brought to me today, I declare that the grace and wisdom to become a true worshiper is at work in me. I refuse to be deceived by the devil and I choose to follow the guidance of the Spirit of God in Jesus name. Amen!
