“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)
When faced with life’s challenges, it can be tempting to respond with fear and panic instead of faith and boldness. Sadly, this reaction has led many to make wrong decisions or take missteps. Some have even given up on life entirely because they allowed fear to take control, which is far from God’s plan for them.
Fear is a tool the devil uses to weaken and defeat people in difficult times. He knows how powerful fear can be, so he exploits it to gain a foothold. When fear takes over, faith is pushed aside, leaving you vulnerable. However, this doesn’t have to be your story.
Make up your mind today to respond to every situation with faith and boldness. By doing so, you take control of the circumstances. No matter how tough the challenge may seem, you can prevail. You might think, “I’m only human; I can’t help but feel afraid.” While that’s a natural response, remember that you are born again. The Holy Spirit dwells in you, empowering you to rise above human limitations. You are no longer bound to respond like a mere human being but as someone who carries God’s Spirit.
The Bible reminds us: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV). The Spirit within you is not one of fear but of power, love, and soundness of mind. So, refuse to let fear control you. Instead, choose to face every situation with faith and boldness, knowing that victory is assured. Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
You can take control of any situation if you respond in faith!
Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth. I have received the Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Therefore, I refuse to give in to fear, and I choose to respond in faith at all times. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
