“…let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need…” Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

Religion has taught us that to receive from God, we have to beg Him day and night for Him to hear our prayers. It sounds true and nice to hear, but the question is, does God want us to beg Him whenever we need something from Him? The answer is no. It might sound ridiculous to you, but God does not want us begging Him because the idea of begging is a mindset that portrays Him in the wrong light. You might say but how? I will explain. First of all, Begging is a mindset of the world and not a mindset of the kingdom. In the world, people are not always willing to give, so you have to beg to make them give you. It is something you do when someone is not willing to give or release to you.

So you have to beg that person to push that person to give you but when it comes to God, He is not among those who are not willing to give to you. God has already given to you so much, He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3), It is His good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32 NKJV) therefore make a conscious decision today to go with boldness and humility, not boldness and arrogance. Some people would read this article today and then try to twist the arms of God, by either commanding God or giving Him a time frame. Please do not do such a thing because that would be arrogance. When the Bible says, Hebrews 4:16, that we should approach the throne of grace with boldness, it doesn’t mean we should be rude or arrogant about it. In dealing with God, we must understand that the way to God’s attention is by humility. So, your boldness should be without arrogance, but at the same time, it shouldn’t also connote begging. There has to be a balance. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

In prayers, God does not want you to beg but rather to approach Him with boldness and humility!

Confession for the Day

All powerful and everliving Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have communicated to me today, I choose therefore to always approach your throne with boldness and humility and every trace of pride or arrogance is deleted from me in the name of Jesus. Amen!
