“…But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves…” James 1:22 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, one of the things you must consciously do is to apply God’s word in all your dealings. The reason is because when you apply God’s word in any area of your life, you are sure to see results. Sadly, not many of God’s people are deliberately applying God’s word to their lives and situations. They allow things to fall apart and when you try to encourage them to use God’s word in tackling the situation, they shrug it off because they do not understand the role that God’s word plays in our day-to-day activities.

However, if you truly want to walk in victory everyday of your life and not get stuck in complicated situations, you must learn to apply God’s word. The best way to do that is to first identify the situation you are battling with. For example, if it is unemployment, you have to identify it and after that look for scriptures that address this area of life. Then arm yourself with that scripture and go to God in prayers day and night. As you pray, open your mind and be attentive to what the Holy Spirit will say to you because He would surely speak to you. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “…shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily…” Luke 18:7‭-‬8 (NKJV). So, I encourage you today to make applying God’s word a priority. Apply the word in your marriage, career, assignment and watch your life move from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

If you apply the word in your dealings, you will subdue the world!

Confession for the Day

Thank Father for reminding me of the need to apply the word. I choose this day to make this a priority and as I apply the word in different areas of my life, I am victorious and triumphant in the name of Jesus. Amen!
