“….so when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am…..” Exodus 3:4 (NKJV)
In the opening scripture, we see that God used a burning bush to attract Moses’ attention. So Moses on seeing it, said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” Exodus 3:3 (NKJV). By so doing, he gave his attention to the Lord, and received his divine assignment, which aligned him with his purpose on earth. When he went near, the Bible recorded that God spoke to him, and said, “Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3:10 (NKJV). Moses therefore received his assignment and answered his call.
Beloved, have you received your assignment? Have you answered your call? What is your purpose for living as you journey through the year? Moses could have died while he was young according to the order of the Pharaoh when he decreed that every Hebrew male child be executed. But God kept Moses alive because He had an assignment for him. Beloved, as we continue our journey in this new year, one thing we must all agree about is that the Christian life doesn’t come without a purpose. Every Christian has a purpose which God requires us to fulfill, and this therefore means that there is a purpose that God desires you to fulfill. Don’t just exist this year, fulfill your purpose, align yourself with God’s plan for your life and destiny.
