“Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” — Hebrews 3:15 (NKJV)

One of the most common things you’ll find among many people today is that they keep running away from God’s call. They know God wants to use them. They know He is prompting them to meet a need somewhere—but they don’t want to answer the call. So they keep running. Sometimes they even go as far as saying, “It’s too much responsibility. I can’t handle it.”

But if you’re reading this devotional today, and God has been ministering to your heart in some way to let you know He wants to use you—don’t ignore the call any longer. Instead, answer the call, because your future and everything concerning your life is wrapped up in that Call.

You are God’s creation. And when He formed you, it was so that you could come into this world and fulfill a purpose. If you don’t yield yourself to God, you are, in effect, running from the very purpose for which you were created. That’s what it means to live a life without purpose.

This is why it’s so important to take God’s call seriously. His calling in your life isn’t just about you; it’s about the Kingdom and His purpose for humanity. And He has a reward for those who answer His call. If you continue to ignore the call, know this: there are many others out there, praying daily for God to use them. He can choose to use them instead.

So, take time to reflect on these things and choose to align yourself with God’s plan for your life.

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this insightful teaching. I choose this day to answer the call of God upon my life. I refuse to run any longer, and I declare that as I answer this call, I am excelling and bearing the right fruits, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
