“…So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified…” — Acts 20:32 (NKJV)
As a believer, one of the most transformative decisions you can make is to allow God’s word to shape your life. This requires giving it the attention and reverence it deserves so that it can influence your thoughts, opinions, standards, and values.
A significant challenge many believers face today is neglecting the word of God. Even when they hear it preached or take time to study, they often fail to truly embrace it. This is because they may not fully grasp the vital role God’s word plays in enabling them to live the life they are called to live.
Your case, however, can be different. Make up your mind to let the word change you. Why is this important? Paul the Apostle gives us the answer: “…I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified…” — Acts 20:32 (NKJV). Did you catch that? The word of God has the power to build you up, establish you, and secure your inheritance among the sanctified.
This transformation isn’t just about becoming a better person; it’s about being empowered to fulfill your divine destiny and live above the corruption of this world. But remember, God won’t force His word on you. You must willingly open your heart to it and allow it to carry out its ministry in your life. Hallelujah!
