“…let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need…” Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

Most times when we find ourselves in a difficult situation, we immediately think that what we need is a man to come and help us. Well, while that is not a bad idea, it is important to know that what we need is not man, but grace. In my walk with God so far, I discovered that struggles in any area of life, is usually a function of the shortage of God’s grace in that area. But because we do not understand this, we keep running from pillar to post seeking help from external sources. However, it is important that we understand that grace is all we need to come out of whatever challenge that we find ourselves in. If you have done all you know how to do, and you are still experiencing that problem, it’s because grace has not fully manifested. So you press on, hold on and approach God’s throne of grace with boldness and obtain mercy to find grace to use in that situation.

Now, this is where patience comes into play because in some cases, you may need to tarry in prayer for the grace to be released. But sadly, most people are not patient to wait for the power of God to manifest. They are always in a hurry and this makes it seem as though God is far from them, when in the real sense, God is near but they are too impatient to allow grace to run its full course.

I admonish you today to hold fast to your faith and never give up. Approach the throne of grace and tarry there until mercy is obtained and grace is released. When grace is released, you will know because everything will automatically loosen up and the joy of your salvation will be restored. So wait on the Lord and know that He is God. Remember, the Bible records that “…they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint…” Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV). Therefore, if you wait upon the Lord, your case shall not be different. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Thank you Heavenly Father for the open invitation to approach your throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace. I declare this day that I obtain mercy in this present situation and I find grace to prevail in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
