“…therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall….” Matthew 7:24-27 (NKJV)
After receiving the Lord Jesus into your life, one of the things you must make a conscious decision to do, is align your life with God’s word. Your marriage, finances, job, or business should align with God’s commands; without which, you cannot really see the effectiveness of God’s word in your life.
I discovered a long time ago that you can be in Christ Jesus and yet certain areas of your life may not be aligned with His commands. Today, you find people who are in Christ and having live-in relationships; the question is, does God’s word permit that? The answer is no. In some other cases, you find people who are in Christ but don’t pay their tithes or partner with the spread of the Gospel. The worst of them all is that you will find people who are in Christ and have never won a soul or led anybody to Christ. When people live like this, they are not fully aligned with God’s commands and this is not beneficial in any way.
So to avoid this, it is best to learn how to discipline yourself and align with the commands of Jesus. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “…everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall…” Matthew 7:27(NKJV). Did you see that? So, do all you can to align with God’s commands and you will watch your life move from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
Thank you, Lord, for opening my eyes. I declare this day that the grace to submit to your commands is at work in my life and by the power of the Holy Spirit my life is moving from glory to glory in the name of Jesus. Amen!
