“…Abraham believed and hoped, even when there was no reason for hoping, and so became “the father of many nations.” Just as the scripture says, “Your descendants will be as many as the stars….” Romans 4:18 (GNT)

One of the things the devil is good at is pushing you to the wall and making you lose hope. But you see, no matter what the devil tries to do to make you lose hope, do not give in because with God there is no such thing as no hope. No matter how tough things may look, God always knows how to make a way for us, but you must be convinced enough to hold on to God even when there is no reason to do so.

In our opening text, we see the story of Papa Abraham. The Bible says, “…Abraham believed and hoped, even when there was no reason for hoping…” Romans 4:18 (GNT). In the New International Version, it says, “…against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Romans 4:18 (NIV). Did you see that? He had every reason to lose hope. The physical evidence was very loud. His body was dead, and Sarah’s womb was also dead but guess what? He chose to remove his focus from there and place it on the promises of God and he became the father of many nations.

Beloved, this can also be your testimony if you choose to hold on to God’s promise and not the physical evidence on ground. So, I admonish you today to keep your faith in God and refuse to be moved by all the negative evidence before you. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for your Word today. No matter what I face or go through, I will keep my faith in your word and in your promises and as I do this, I am manifesting your promises in all things in Jesus name. Amen!
