“…to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, you must understand that there is a time to play and there is a time to pray. You can’t be praying and at the same time browsing the internet on your phone or chatting with a friend. It is either you are praying or you are playing. You have to choose one and go with it. If you want to use your phone, go ahead and use the phone but after that drop it and go to the throne without distractions. In our opening scriptures, the Bible was very clear on its communication. It says “…to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

In the book of Matthew 6:24, Our Lord Jesus Christ clearly also said that “…no one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other…” meaning that if the focus is divided, nothing tangible can be achieved. Therefore, choose to stay away from your phone or anything that will distract you in times of prayers. You might say but I have been doing this for a while now and it is working. Well I am not sure of the kind of results you got, but one thing I know is that if you want to get the best out of God’s throne of grace, it takes utmost concentration and undivided attention to achieve it and this will not happen if you continue to use your phone or distracted in prayers. So beloved consider this counsel very carefully for it has the ability to change your prayer life and give you better results. Let God’s time be God’s time, don’t share with any other thing. Paul the apostle said, I desire therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands (1 Timothy 2:8) not pressing their phones or surfing the internet. Do the needful and watch your life move from glory to glory. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

To get something meaningful from the throne of grace, you must approach it with undivided attention!

Confession for the Day

Dear heavenly father, I thank you for strengthening me with your word and bringing to remembrance the attitude I am expected to put up in a place of prayer. I declare that as I give attention in the place of prayers, I produce better results in the name of Jesus. Amen!
