“And Asa cried out to the LORD his God, and said, “LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” So the LORD struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.” —2 Chronicles 14:11–12 (NKJV)
In the Scripture above, King Asa found himself vastly outnumbered by the Ethiopian army, which had gathered more than one million soldiers against him. Though his troops were significantly fewer, King Asa did not seek alliances with other kings or rely on human strength. Instead, he sought the LORD, recognizing that God was his only true deliverer. He turned to God in prayer, and the LORD granted him a miraculous victory, delivering Judah from the hands of their enemies.
Too often, God’s children face difficult challenges, tight corners, and overwhelming situations, yet God is rarely their first resort. Many quickly run to friends and family for help, forgetting to seek the LORD. They expect God to intervene, but they never invite Him into their circumstances or commit their problems into His hands. God has endowed humanity with free will—the right to make choices. Consequently, He will never force His way into our lives unless we explicitly invite Him in.
If we fail to invite God into our matters, we can remain trapped in the same struggles for a long time. Without calling upon Him, we leave ourselves vulnerable to defeat in life’s battles. God is our ultimate helper, fully capable of delivering us out of every hardship. All He asks is that we call upon Him in faith. Turn to God today, invite Him into your situation, and walk in total victory. Amen!

Glorious God, I declare today that You alone are God. I declare that You alone hold the key to all my life’s situations. I declare that You are my helper, and I will not seek help from another because no one can help me but You. Praise God!
