“…and so it is written, the first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit…” – 1 Corinthians 15:45(NKJV)

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with the Father that gives life. This life enables us to give life to anything that we come in contact with. In our opening scripture, the Bible lets us know that the first man Adam whom God created became a living being but the last Adam Jesus Christ, became a life-giving Spirit. Now the significance of this, is that those of us who are in Christ Jesus have also become like Him for the Bible says “as was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly…”- 1 Corinthians 15:48-49. As He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17), so you see that we have received the same life which also was in Christ. Jesus is a life-giving Spirit and so are we, but the question is, what do we do with this? How does it benefit us? Well, we ought to take advantage of it and let it become our consciousness. Being a life-giving Spirit means that first, we are the epitome of life itself. We are full of life and all that life brings. We distribute life anywhere we go and to anybody that we meet. It doesn’t matter how long death might have flourished in the life of a man, or in a place when we arrive, life comes and death goes. This is one truth that you must come to terms within your walk with God because this is who we are in Christ Jesus.

Refuse to allow death function in your life because you are a life-giving Spirit. Death here does not necessarily mean when something dies, it also means when things are not working out. Whenever you notice that there are certain things that are not working out in your life, go ahead and dispense life because you have it in you. Whenever the devil is trying to play a fast one on you by bringing symptoms to your body, reject it with all vehemence and release life. You might say but how can I do this? Well, it happens through words. You just need to speak the word and say in the name of Jesus, I release life into my body and that is it. When Jesus Christ walked the face of this earth, the bible recorded how Lazarus His friend died and Jesus went to see Him. When He got there, He didn’t even have to touch Him; He only called His name and commanded Him to come out. (John 11:43) When He spoke, the spirit of death could not stand those words, so it checked out and the man jerked back to life. In the same way, if you will speak to dead situations or things that are no longer working in your life or in the life of your family members, life will come on it because you are a life-giving spirit. So I dare you to lay hold of this truth. If you will live conscious of it, nothing is permitted to die or get spoilt in your life because life flows through you. Halleluiah!
