God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. —Psalm 46:1 (NKJV)

Beloved, have you ever faced a problem and wondered, “How am I going to get through this?” Or are you currently in a situation where you’re waiting for an answer, worried about someone you love, or simply feeling that time is running out? Well, if that’s where you are today, you are not alone. It happens. But hear this: you don’t have to pretend everything is fine, and at the same time, you shouldn’t allow your current situation or state of mind to paralyze your faith in God.

Look again at our opening text, Psalm 46:1. Did you see that? It means that God is a safe place to turn, and He is the One who can help you keep going. Notice that the verse doesn’t say trouble will never come. It reminds us that when trouble comes, God is near, and He is always ready to help.

So, what are you going to do with this revelation? Start by having a sincere conversation with God. You don’t need to speak perfectly; all you need is to speak to the God who is perfect. You can start by saying, “Father, have mercy on me,” or “Father, help me and let me know what to do.” As simple as that might sound, it carries weight. Don’t forget, asking God for help does not mean your faith has failed; rather, it shows that your faith and your gaze are on Him. After speaking to God like that, take a moment to read the Scriptures and pray in tongues, if you can, and reach out to someone if the Holy Spirit leads you in that direction.

When you feel pressured or afraid, try not to make an important decision in panic. Instead, pause and ask God for wisdom, and from that moment, take one step at a time. The step could be making a phone call, asking for advice, or resting before you try again. You don’t have to solve everything in one day. You may not know how your situation will work out, but know this: God truly cares for you, and He is with you in every situation.

So, no matter what you face or go through, I admonish you to come before His throne of grace, present what is troubling you, and keep moving forward, one step at a time. When you do this, you will obtain mercy and find grace to help you when you need it most. Hallelujah!
